CO2 Snow Cleaning at Kitt Peak
Done on an as needed basis at each telescope - goal is at least once per month
CO2 snow cleaning is done using a Zito Model 4 large flake CO2 snow cleaning system with a long tubular nozzle extension
We have used industrial grade CO2 in the past with no apparent harmful effects - we are now considering changing to Coleman grade
